Zest For Life
Zest For Life is a Kids Holiday Club located in Eastwood, and run by Macquarie Anglican. It operates for 3 days in the second week of the July school holidays (11th-13th July) from 9:30am-3pm daily. Kids in school year 2-6 are welcome to come and join us!
This year Zest has a detective theme, as we join a quirky Detective Dexter Duck and his level headed assistant Constable Charlton Clooney as they seek to solve the mystery of the man who defeated death (Jesus). The investigation may not be easy! Along the way kids are sure to encounter adventurous Bible teaching, games, craft, drama, music and food. But don’t worry, because in the afternoon we will relax with a range of fun elective activities.

Cost:
Zest For Life costs $10 rego + $15 per day (just pay in cash when you sign your child in on their first day). This price includes all meals (morning/afternoon tea & lunch), and materials.

Zest For Life aims to teach some of the important truths the Bible contains about Jesus, the man who defeated death. It does this however in a fun Holiday Club style. Therefore each morning there will be Games, Craft, Drama, Music and much more. In amongst all of this, we will also supply Morning Tea & Lunch.
Lunch will be:
- Monday – Pizza
- Tuesday – Subway Rolls
- Wednesday – BBQ
Zest also offer a range of afternoon Electives. Your child can choose one Elective, which they will participate in each afternoon over the three days. By being involved in the one Elective for 3 days, you child will have the opportunity to develop a skill in that area. The electives available this year are:
- Lego Robotics – Learn to build and program using Lego NXT Mindstorm Robotics.
- Art – Prepare to be creative! You might even learn some new techniques!
- Fun with Food – Are you the next MasterChef?
- Sports & Games – Plenty of running around!
- Fun in the Lab – For those who like to experiment with science
You child should come dressed for fun. This includes a Hat (with name in it), Sunscreen (if its sunny!), Jumper (with name in it, if cold weather), and shoes they can run in.
Zest for Life” Holiday Club is part of the Kid’s program of Macquarie Anglican. We are the team who also run “Splash” and “Impact” on Fridays nights, and a range of other kids and youth activities within our community. The team of volunteers is led and coordinated by Tim Adams, the Children’s Minister at Macquarie Anglican Churches. All members of the team comply with state child protection protocols.
