DESCRIPTION:Join us to clean up beautiful ELS Hall Park\, Kent Rd\, North Ryde.\nWe will focus on an accessible section of Shrimptons Creek in the park. \nMeet us behind the cricket nets. From the cricket nets follow the path towards Shrimptons Creek and look for our blue Macquarie Anglican tent and sign-in table. \n\nAll volunteers must sign-in and wear closed shoes.\nChildren and teens must be supervised by adults.\nGumboots and rubbish-reachers are advised.\nSome gloves will be available\, BYO if you can.\n\nThe creek clean-up is not suitable for young children\, but if they are keen to take part you could take them around the fields and playground to spot rubbish for you to safely collect. \nRegister Here

SUMMARY:Service of Lament & Hope
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a service of lament and hope as we remember loved ones we have lost. \nSadness is a healthy God-given response to loss\, and partaking in meaningful rituals amongst supportive communities is good for our bodies. \nThis one-hour church service will make space for our feelings of loss\, sorrow\, pain\, and grief\, and remember God’s deep love for us and promise of comfort\, healing\, and hope. Please feel welcome to bring along family and friends. \nYou will be invited to sing\, listen to Bible readings\, spend time in reflection\, and take part in some call and response prayers. But you are welcome to participate in silence. You will be invited to share the Lord’s Supper ritual. Please join in as it feels best for you. \nThis service is divided into three parts: orientation\, disorientation\, and reorientation. Orientation serves to ground us in the love of God. Disorientation serves to sit with the reality of grief and pain. Reorientation will again help us fix our eyes on the work of Christ and promise of redemption and new creation\, concluding with the Lord’s Supper. \nYou are not alone but loved and held in community and by a good God.
